Morning 3sNew for the 2023-2024 school year, East Columbia Preschool offers a three-day morning class for students turning 3 by December 31 of the current school year. The class meets Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to noon. Morning 3s Fast Facts Family Participation in Morning 3s Morning 3s families also play an active role in the preschool’s operations by serving on a school committee or the executive board. Those parents who are not on the executive board are also expected to volunteer at one of ECP’s three main fundraising events and participate in one housekeeping session each year per child in the school. Morning 4s Fast Facts Family Participation in Morning 4s Morning 4s families also play an active role in the preschool’s operations by serving on a school committee or the executive board. Afternoon 4sOur new Afternoon 4s program offers a more flexible version of the cooperative model: in-class parent participation is optional, but families help clean up the classroom on a regular rotating basis as the “CUP,” or clean up helper. Students in the Afternoon 4s are ready for more time in the school setting – four afternoons a week. Classes meet three hours a day, four days a week: Monday through Thursday. Families may sign up for our new Lunch Bunch option to extend the school day almost an hour and prepare students for the experience of eating with their peers in Elementary School.
